Dominic Mendoza joined Mathieson, Moyski, Austin & Co., LLP in 2025 as a full-time staff tax accountant. His interest in tax began at age fifteen when he received his first W-2. Dom wasn’t sure how to go about filing taxes, so his father printed out a 1040 and told him to read the document and fill it out as instructed. Since the once formidable task at fifteen years old, Dom has sought to learn the 1040 documents and supporting schedules inside and out.

Dom has lived in the western suburbs of Chicago his whole life. He has three younger siblings and a German Shepherd / Alaskan Malamute mix. He spends his time walking his dog at nearby trails and preserves, playing pick-up basketball with friends, attending his bowling league, keeping up with the latest Apple TV+ shows, and supporting all Chicago teams. (Yes, even the Cubs).
