A Simple and Guided Way to Complete Your Tax Organizer

SafeSend Gather makes document sourcing easy without the endless back-and-forth between taxpayer and firm. From signing your engagement letter, to filling out your organizer questionnaire, to gathering all of your source documents in an organized list, SafeSend Gather does it all!

How it Works:

Welcome Page:

          • View a message from you CPA – It is important to read this message before starting the Gather process, as it will contain instructions on how your CPA wants your organizer completed.
          • An estimated completion time and an overview of what to expect from the Gather process.

Filling Out Your Organizer:

          • Organizers are currently only fillable on either laptop or desktop.
          • To complete your organizer and prevent further editing, click Next.
          • If you are not yet finished with your organizer, or are waiting on additional information, click Save & Continue.
          • If you need your organizer reopened, please contact our office.

Uploading Documents:

          • Gather has the ability to recognize the contents of a document, regardless of the file name.
          • Documents that are not automatically recognized by SafeSend will be put in the Uncategorized section.
          • The following file types can be uploaded: .pdf, .doc, .xls, .txt, .png, and .jpeg files.
          • Encrypted or password-protected documents should not be uploaded and cannot be previewed.

Why are the options to Get Started, sign, and fill grayed out?

This indicates that your spouse must sign the engagement letter before you can continue.

Can I edit my organizer after it's been submitted as complete?

Yes, but only after contacting our office to reopen your organizer.

When can I upload additional documents?

As long as you have not clicked the Finish button, additional documents can be uploaded at any time.

Why is the option to upload documents gone and how can how can I fix it?

If you have marked the document uploads as complete, additional documents cannot be uploaded. Please contact our office to re-enable document upload.
